This is a picture that I didn’t like at the time I took but I didn’t delete it. I kept it. It required too much effort or too many clicks to delete and there were other pictures I wanted to shoot. No time to lose.
That particular day I took several pictures of those same kids playing, there was one particular picture that I loved at the time, but now after a few years, I found this one (after a little tweak) much more pleasant to my eye.
How many pictures have I deleted that I might now love? The digital era made us too comfortable (and too quick) at deleting images that might appear slightly wrong at the time we took them.
How many images that were not what we had in mind when we shot them have we deleted? Was any of those the perfect picture and not the one we picked?
Make you wonder about all the Kodak moments lost to the second take and the digital age.
