About

I love photography. I think I always did.

The first time I saw the light as something else other than just something to help us see I was playing with my parents and sister one evening, I noticed the light falling on a wall. It was yellow but uneven, it looked beautiful and sad or melancholic. For the first time I thought of the light as having or creating feelings. I felt butterflies. I was 4 or 5 years old.

At that time, we only had a camera, the family camera, a Kodak 110 Camera, which, at my age, was not entrusted to me except during moments when I was reduced to a remote trigger. That’s how I took my first photograph—photography by numbers basically. -Point at us and just click this  button,- I was told by my mom during a friend’s reunion. I still managed to mess up the picture by only photographing the group from the neck up. I like to think that I was already developing a style.

I currently live in Los Angeles where I spend most of my photography time either walking the streets and doing film and digital photography or developing and scanning film which I love.
