Portrait street photography is as beautiful as it is difficult. The difficulty comes down not only to being in the right place at the right time but also getting a fair amount of noes, people shaking their heads side by side asking you to leave.

But I think it is worth it, because -what is the city but the people?- getting a snapshot of the city is taking a snapshot of the people. And I truly believe that capturing the city is magical. Most of the time people don’t stop to look at each other. We just walk through the asphalt jungle barely making eye contact with other people. When we have a chance to look eye to eye with someone else, with a stranger in the city sometimes we get this sudden realization that we all are part of the same community.
